I opened the motor housing (removed screws), removed old impeller (blower wheel) with a wrench, replaced the new impeller. Since the foam seal between the motor housing and the impeller housing had deteriorated/destroyed when opening, I placed a bead of old caulk I had on hand around the edge of the impeller housing. Reassembled. Done.

Removed all parts assembly\'s from 2 pc. housings. Did not need spacer I ordered, but will keep it for the other 4 vacs I have. Removed alum. wheel with wood stick in motor fins (to prevent turning) and 1/2\" wrench on motor shaft nut. Removed washer, below nut. New wheel in place, washer, Nut tightened with gloves holding alum. wheel. R eassembled every screw, everywhere.

Photocopied instructions were so faded I could not read.
It was an easy fix.

My best suggestion is to maintain all internal filters way before you think they need to be cleaned.

Ordered new blower wheel but found the original wheel was 4 inch diameter not 5 inch.
Not sure vac would work with a 5 inch wheel and no room for air flow.

Back to unrepaired!
