1. Remove old handle
2. Disconnect electrical connection
3. Remove cutter shaft
4. Remove throttle cable
5. Replace 1/2 handle,attach cable, insert cutter shaft, replace another half of handle, reattach wiring

Removed front, rear, exhaust, housings (covers), and then the front shaft and housing. Removed the four bolts and fuel lines and installed the new tank. Re-assembled unit and off it took! Only one size bit fit all fasteners.

Replaced the carb and the fuel tank. Also, the air filter and the spark plug. Runs great now!

Remove rear cover, remove trimmer shaft, remove front cover with controls. Disconnect fuel lines from carb. Remove attaching screws from fuel tank and remove tank. Assembly is reverse of these steps.

Gas tank had cracked

I removed 8 screws and removed the fuel lines
Then put on the new one in and connected the fuel lines
It crank right up
