This housing is available as an individual replacement part, please note a philips head screwdriver is needed to install the housing.

ran over the saw with excavator that weighs 11,000 pounds (not completely) 1 day old saw

Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
Parts Used:
547280401, 579665204, 575493401, 577636501
Pulled bar and chain from saw (not bent) removed recoil starter, removed handle and chain brake.
Removed carb ( not damaged). Removed main chassis case and replaced with new one purchased.
Some high temp. silicone used, replace carb adapter, replace stop switch screw holder.
replace top cylinder cover and starter assembl y and chain brake and handle.
Put new fuel and oil in respective tanks and adjusted richness.
Fired right up and started cutting logs for firewood. Have run saw for a week now. No problems.
A job for the (not of faint heart). Take your time and work on clean surface, well lit.
keep everything clean and remember what screw goes where and your repair is done much more quickly and cheaper than to send the (brand new ) saw out to a shop, only to have them keep the saw for two weeks. Very happy with parts supplier.
