A screwdriver and a socket set might be helpful during the installation of this part. It will need to be replaced if it becomes broken. 2. Removed the front wheels.
3. Scraped the old grass from the bolts holding the plastic assembly in place.
4. Removed the old assembly and the axle.
5. Replaced the axle assembly.
6. Reattached the raising/lowering mechanism.

1. Removed wheels with drill with mower on floor.
2. Removed front axel, by pressing down lock and removing one side at a time.
3. Removed screws holding front cover with using power drill.

Replaced front axle assembly after worn axle would not retain height adjustment
Removed broken axle cover assembly. Installed new adjuster plate onto new axle cover assembly, installed new cover onto mower deck . All went very straight forward. good as new. Mowed the lawn right after performing the repair.
1. Removed the old front axle (had already fallen off).
2. Removed the old holder/mounting bracket.
3. Lined up the new axle holder/bracket.
4. Attached it to the mower body.
5. Attached the new front axle to the new bracket.
