Traction cable broke. I replaced the blade brake and traction cable at the same time. You will need 2 new cable ties to replace 2 that you cut off. The blade break has a special end on it. Be sure to place the upper end of this pointing down, slide it in the slot, then rotate it into position. Do not cut the plastic tip off. No don\

After replacing the traction cable, make sure the handle end is loose to give plenty of slack to connect the lever at the transmission. Then connect the handle end. Next, you will have to adjust the retention screw to make it engage again. A couple of tries will get it right.
If you do these repairs, the next time it will be easy.
Removed all cable from mower bar, cut cable ties. Flipped mower on its side gas cap up. Unhooked cable at bottom of the transaxle. Feed new cable thru hole on deck and installed on mower bar. Secured with cable ties on the bar.
