Hinge pin that stabilizes head on base came out.

1. Lifted the head up so it was no longer pinned against the base.
2. Slipped the pin out and replaced it with the new one.
3. Note: it is easier if you gently lay the mixer on its side as you have to match the hole on the head to those on the base.
4. It slipped out without any force and the new one only required a gent le tap with a rubber mallet.

KitchenAid mixer was leaking grease/oil

1) Removed holding pin and lower housing
2) Removed screws large shaft
3) Removed decorative metal band and upper part of housing
4) Cleaned old gasket off and replaced with new
5) Cleaned old grease and replaced with new
6) Checked for worn parts... all ok
7) Assembled in reverse order
8) Plugged in and ran on slow speed for several minutes to check repair
