This is a genuine OEM sourced v-belt that is specially designed for Jet and Wilton power equipment. This is the belt that connects to the motor pulley and helps to drive the spindle. This item is made from durable rubber material and it is sold individually. You would need a set of screwdrivers to complete this repair.
Learned more than I wanted to know about the inside workings of a variable speed lathe. Had to open up the motor side variable pulley to get enough slack to get the belt on. ... Read moretion lever alignment. Initially I reinstalled it set at a super high speed. That was a matter of resetting it to what I think is a normal speed range.
My Jet wood lathe has 100\'s of hours on it the belt was worn out and the sheaves needed
cleaning and lubrication. All the service work was done while waiting for the new belt in the mail. After arrival it was a matter of a 10 minute install and now all works as it should.
