Disassembly was quite simple. I actually could not get the wires off the old ignition module as they were corroded on. Fortunately I discovered that the problem was that the AAA battery was dead. The rubber around the button was shot, so I replaced the button, too, but I do have the replacement module, if in fact it fails in the future . Next time I will check the battery first for failure !!!!! No tools are necessary to replace the battery, since the chrome collar around the button can be turned to release both the button itself and to access the module.

Just pull the old switch by pinching the plastic clips, swap the 2 wires and push the new part into place. Very easy and no tools needed.
