This is an original Presto part. This Pressure Cooker Body Handle is used on many models of Presto pressure cookers. This Handle installs onto the pot, or also known as the body. The Handle is made from plastic and includes a Philips Head screw. This Handle is commonly purchased with the Cover Handle (part number 85239). This part should be replaced if it becomes cracked or fits loosely. Installation only requires the use of a Philips screwdriver.

Needed to replace some worn out and broken parts

Remove the old sealing ring from the lid and clean out where it was located, then press the new one in. Simply pop off the pressure plug and pop the new one in. Remove the old cover handle by unscrewing the screw holding it in and screw in the new on.Then do the same with the broken body handle.

1. Remove old handles.
2. Cleaned surfaces
3. A squirt of WD-40 in each screw hole.
4. Attached new handles.
5. Move metal cooking schedule from old handle and Gorilla Glue onto new handle.
