Start switch on the PM15 planer was broken.

Turned off the breaker
Removed all the screws holding the left metal panel to the main part of the planer
Removed the screws holding the top to the hinges.
Removed the screw on the bracket of the top, then removed the top.
Each switch has a black piece of plastic, sort of a tab, that when moved to the other posit ion, released the actual switch from the push button that appears outside the unit. I only replaced the outer part, since the switch itself was fine. The push button is plastic, cheap, and prone to failure, since this is the second time in 4 years I\'ve replaced it.
Pushed the outer part through the metal frame, secured it with the plastic ring acting as a nut.
Plugged the switch back into the outer part, and secured it by moving the black plastic tab.
Put the unit back together, flipped the breaker back on, and went back to work.
Don\'t try to replace either of these switches without removing the left metal panel. It just makes things too complicated.
