Part not carried in the "Big Stores."
eReplacementParts.com is a godsend, the local stores do not carry this filter and it was great to find the right part. And the filter arrived early.

The right part
Great that Ereplacement parts had this filter in stock for a 40 year old hood fan. Been trying for years to get it replaced and finally found the part number. Bingo and Thanks

Easily put new light diffuser in place, easily insert filter frame and was 3/8ö to short so got out caulk gun using GE silicone with wide tip and sealed air gap. When I have to clean filter I will just pull it out or cut slit down middle of gap and then pull it out, wash filter reinstall and use GR silicone again.
I pulled the old filter out, and replaced it with the new one.
I did notice a funny noise when I turned the fan on. It was the fan hitting the filter. So, since the filter is aluminum, I just bent it downward a little bit in the middle and put it back up, and no more noise.
