Removed grill & light globe assembly by gently pulling down on this assembly, it is attached to the fan housing by spring type pieces of wire or metal, you just squeeze these together a little & you can remove the grill/light globe assembly. Unplug fan & light wires from the outlets, use screwdriver to take out 1 screw that is holding fa n motor unit in place & the fan/motor unit comes out. Installed new fan/motor unit that I purchased from ereplacement parts & it works like new. Thank you.

Removed old unit and put in new unit. Apparently the plastic fan is mounted too high on the shaft, and it rubs against the housing in the ceiling. I bought this replacement because of problems with the original unit (squeaked and motor burned out) and the first replacement motor would not hold the plastic fan in place properly. So, I ordered a complete replacement motor/fan assembly. Looks like the problem of fan slippage on the motor shaft was solved by the manufacturer.
