This is a Genuine Metabo Flange Nut used on Angle Grinders. This part secures the Grinding Disk to the unit, on 5/8-11 spindles to support 7/8" wheels or other wheels. A Spanner Wrench is used to tighten and loosen this part.

Remove handle, note how switch slide and switch rod are placed in the grinder. Replace slide and rod. Very simple. I also replaced the flange nut and clamping flange.
