The on/off switch is made of plastic and metal. This part is available individually. It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specially produced for use with Delta lathes. A screwdriver and a set of pliers may be required to replace this part. It will require replacing if it becomes broken.

1, Removed controller box to access switch.
2. Removed forward/reverse switch to access on/off switch, noting wire location.
3. Removed on/off switch by pressing lock clips, needed to drill holes in control box to gain access to rear clips.
4. Replaced switch\'s and reinstalled control box.

I removed the cover for the control panel, & carefully removed the old switches, cleaned the area , & replaced the parts in the reverse order that I removed them. That simple!!!
Plugged in, turned on , runs like NEW!
