I have a 13 inch Delta 22-580 Planer. The knife clamps designated for this machine are no longer available. I substituted the knife clamps made for the 22-590. I read in an online forum that they are compatible. I wasn\'t sure if they would work given that lots of info online is questionable.

... Read morelength as the clamps for the 22-580 and all of the holes for the machine screws and knife alignment nubs are identical. The only difference is that they are maybe an eight of an inch narrower. I replaced the knives (I had a set on hand) and clamped them down with the new knife clamps. Quick and easy. The planer works fine.

I bought the planer for 150.00 at a Pawnshop and it had a blade and a knife clamp missing.
Just replace bent knife clamp with new one and the screw.
