After replacing the handle and plate I replace the center point of the drive spur. Than I installed a new safety switch and a digital readouts with a cooling fan.

Stripped speed control plate. Several teeth broken off, thus preventing lower speed settings.
1. Removed two plate holding screws.
2. Punched out rolled pin from handle shaft

4. Removed plate holding retaining ring
