Linkage was loose

Total Repair Time:
Less than 15 mins
Tools:
Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)
Parts Used:

The old special screw was worn down greater than 1/16\" and the linkage bar also showed worn. Replacing both eliminated the looseness between the arms and the distance between the arm blade attachments. This I believe reduced the vibration as well.

I removed the 4 screws covering the rear of the saws parallel arms. The arms are linked by a flat bar, held in place by the special screws. Remove two screws, remove old damaged link bar. Replace both bar and screws with new parts. Lubricate screws. In general, this would be a good time to lube the rest of the saw, per PDF instructio ns available on line.
