This item has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with scroll saws from Delta. The metal screw is commonly used to fasten the blade arms to the rear link. A flat-head screwdriver is needed to install this item. The special screw is priced as an individual item.
The old special screw was worn down greater than 1/16\" and the linkage bar also showed worn. Replacing both eliminated the looseness between the arms and the distance between the arm blade attachments. This I believe reduced the vibration as well.
1. Removed the side panel over the connecting link.
2. Removed the screws at each end of the connector link.
3. Installed the new parts with plenty of lube.
4. Reinstalled the side cover.
