This is a genuine item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with DeLonghi coffee makers. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty 6 cap filter that was included with a new unit, please make sure to check the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component. The filter is designed to hold coffee grounds. Keep in mind this high-quality item is made of durable metal and is sold individually.
Took out the gasket replace the cap filter, soaked the water chamber with vinegar and rinsed then put in the new filter basket. Pretty simple to get it back to tip top shape.
