The brew unit would not go into the home position. Brew unit would go all the way up and stay after machine was turned on. Unable to brew shots or steam.

The hall sensor is located on the bottom of the transmission assembly. You have to remove the transmission to replace it as far as I could tell. Remove the brew unit, remove the hex screw located behind. This is the screw that holds the transmission assembly in place. To remove the brew unit on from the back I did find it necessary to rem ove the screws mounting the water boiler so it could move out of the way. Once removed, observe the hall sensor board on bottom. Replace and route wires to the control board.

The connection mentioned in the parts was the connector on the output side of the water solenoid valve. Mine leaked causing the damage to the hall sensor.

eReplacementparts has a very good video on You-Tube showing exactly what was needed in order to facilitate the repair. I followed the video while doing repair and there were no issues.

1. removed sides
2. removed screws holding part in place
3. removed clips holding water lines in place.
4. replaced part.
