Remove battery from ignition unit (safety first),
Loosen nut on the outside panel.
Remove ignition unit, holding the protective cover so it doesn\'t fall (if it does, don\'t worry, it won\'t break),
Disconnect each lead from the old ignition unit, one by one, installing each on the new unit.

Unscrewed by hand the old igniter, pulled out the 7 wires and put them into the new igniter, then attached nut and tightened. Very simple and fast

Removed the heat emitters and tossed them
Removed the flame tamers and cleaned them
Unplugged the burner electrodes and removed the rusted out burner tubes

Installed new tubes and connected electrodes to new module. Very simple and just connected electrode wires to new module as they were connected to old module. $70.00 dollars in parts saved a $500.00 grill my wife wanted to throw out! I did the plastic flat but for the control module after undoing and taking not of all the wires attached for the various burners and sure fire ignition button. Replaced in reverse order, put new battery in, presses igniter button and I could easily hear the spark for the burners.

1. Cut off the old igniter switch with a wood chisel to save me from disassembling the grill.
2. Removed the wires from the old switch and slipped the new switch lock-nut over the wires and connected the wires to the new switch.
3. Secured it in place with the new lock-nut.
