1. Removed stainless hood filters. Unplugged light and switch unit (no electrical required)
2. Unscrewed and removed light and switch unit from the hood.
2. Figured out how to release switch cover and light sockets (this took some tinkering)
3. Removed all sockets and switch.
4. Thoroughly cleaned 10 years of grea se off stainless unit.
5. Connected all new parts. Remounted unit into hood. Plugged it in. Replaced hood filters.

Removed the cover. Then, easily replaced the switch and the controller.

Controller for Broan 260 A range hood

Most difficult part was visualizing the hidden side screws holding the the light assembly, needed a second set to heads holding lighting

Important to put in the each end screws before securing the side filter rails.

Replacing the controller and the switch plate was straight forward

1. Shut off breaker switch.
2. Took good apart to get to switch.
3. Removed the broken switch.
4. Put assembly back on to hood.
5. Reset breaker.
6. Thankfully, the hood worked.
