Dremel used almost daily. Wore brushes out. When received new brushes and covers, disassembled Dremel and cleaned all to almost new, then installed brushes. Wore in brushes at 5000 RPM for about 5 minutes and Dremel runs like new.

Dremel could not maintain consistent speed setting
Replaced old brushes along with
Specifically
1. Remove power cord from wall
2. Unscrewed the two flathead screws securing the brushes inside
3. Pulled brushes from each side
4. Removed the 5 or 6 T15 TORX screws
5. Removed collar on drive shaft and hanging bracket from the rear
