This is a genuine Coleman-made replacement assembly made for use with gas lanterns. The valve assembly controls the flow of fuel from the fount (the fuel tank) to the generator. The generator (sold separately as part #: 3000000453) then vaporizes the fuel and sends it into the burner. The valve knob and the screw that attaches the knob are included. Unbolt and remove old parts, and install new and tighten up nuts, very easy.
