1 - Remove retaining ring - toughest part of the job: Used screwdriver to push ring up, and tip of engraving pen to hold ring in place.
2 - Removed sleeve, washer, and spring.
* If re ... Read more placing the compression spring and 2.5mm ball make sure your work area is well lit, clean, and you have a magnet handy. The spring can get away and jump outside your work bench easily.
3 - Remove compression spring and 2.5mm ball - used the tip of an engraving pen to compress the spring and remove the ball and the spring in controlled fashion.
3 - Installing compression spring and 2.5mm ball - placed spring in cavity, use tip of engraving pen to compress spring enough to allow ball to be dropped in, slowly decompress spring to secure ball and remove pen.
