Rail lock lever broke because a person not familiar with the saw tried to lock it and put to much pressure on it the wrong way and it broke

1. watched video on how to replace
2. Removed the plastic panel
3. unscrewed the rail lock lever shaft from unit
4. slightly pulled up the shaft
5. Using ratchet took out the nut holding lever to shaft
6. Put on new lever
7. put back together
