Opened the depth gauge and the spring and ball popped out and I couldn\'t find them.

Put a glob of grease on the spring and put the ball bearing on it. Tried to put the ball in the indentation but it fell out onto the towel. Tried it again loosely screwing on the back and guiding it with a tweezers until it was in the indentation. Screwed the back tight. Easy!
