Height Adjustment Screw was worn out

Don from Bremerton, Washington

Tools:
Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench (Adjustable)
Removed the height adjustment rotating handle and the locking mechanism to allow for removal of the front face plate. With the use of two locking pliers I forced the Follower Nut off the badly cross threaded Height Adjustment Screw and was able to remove both. Simply reversed the procedure and replaced damaged parts with new. Tested the n ew adjustment screw and then put everything back together.
The two screws holding the locking lever for the table saw fence are also used to hold the front face plate and they are a real challenge to get started. I used a very small screw driver to line up the holes and was only then able to get them started without cross threading them.
