2. Removed the old con rod assembly.
3. Secured the new one.
4. Reassembled.
bearings and sleeve worn causing knocking and vibration to scroll saw

removed side cover and clamped other side to prevent it from falling apart.
removed connecting rod locking nut - REVERSE THREADED!
removed vertical assembly and disconnect horizontal rods.
using drift pin and vise- spread vertical assembly allowing removal of connecting rod.
replaced wit ... Read more h new connecting rod - removed drift pin.
re-assembled scroll saw in reverse order.
Again - the nut holding the connecting rod to the motor is REVERSE THREADED. Beware.
