This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement sanding pad that is specially designed for Fein sanders. Hook and loop is a fastener closure system in which the rough side is called hook and the softer side is called loop. The hooks engage into the loop to secure the sandpaper sheet to the pad without any additional tools. One durable plastic pad is included per order, please note that the hardware to secure this part is sold separately.

My repair was simple. My concern was getting the right parts. The exploded diagram of the sander made it pretty clear what I needed. I had bought the sander used and it seemed out of balance. Changing the sanding head when it blew apart was a requirement.
