Sprayer stopped working, would not prime with water to flush and clean. Paint residue dried inside.

Removal of spray tip filter hampered by dried paint. Old screen tore away while trying to unscrew (left hang thread). Pried carefully around edge of threads to loosen as much as possible. Used reverse opening snap ring pliers ... Read more inside the remaining nub get sufficient grip and leverage to break free and remove. Replaced with new screen reassembled with protectant in paint cup, plugged in and primed. Worked fine!
