Need help finding your model number?This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Makita demolition hammers. Worn out brushes can cause the motor to spark, or not turn on at all. Brushes are usually the first thing to wear out on a power tool because they are in constant contact with the moving armature. It is recommended to replace the brush if it is worn to about an eighth of an inch from the wire lead, or if there are any burn marks indicating the brush has overheated. These brushes are available in pairs and the pairs are sold individually.

The drill simply had intermittent Motor function. Sometimes it would run and others it would do nothing when the trigger was pulled. To be safe I ordered both the switch and carbon brushes
