Product Description

?

This replacement keyless drill chuck is a genuine OEM sourced part, not an aftermarket alternative. This part is specially designed for use with Makita drills. It is used to secure the drill bits. If the bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. This item is sold individually. Please note, the screw to secure it is sold separately. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver. • Make sure the drill is unplugged • Open up the jaws on the old chuck • Remove the chuck screw • Remove the old chuck • Secure the new chuck using the screw

First sprayed a little penetrating oil on chuck. Next removed the LH screw from center of chuck. I put a large allen wrench into the chuck and tightened it down. Tapped it with a hammer and it wouldn\'t move so I gave it one hard blow and that did the trick. Removed chuck. Cleaned threads well and put a little anti-seize on there. I nstalled new chuck put anti-seize on the screw and tightened it down. Good as new. Thank you for good products and good videos at a fair price
