This is an OEM replacement part used with Makita sanders/routers. This switch is what allows user to turn the unit on and off. It is plastic a plastic switch with metal terminals. Over time mechanical moving components of a switch will begin to fail requiring a replacement. Please note this item is sold individually. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver. • Remove housing • Disconnect wires • Remove old switch • Install new switch • Re-attach wires • Reassemble and test the unit
