My saw was borrowed so I\'m not sure the symptoms. I do know the brush holders, the brushes and the caps melted all together to the casing.

My saw was borrowed so I\'m not sure the symptoms. I do know the brush holders, the brushes and the caps melted all together to the casing. Being the casing is harder than surrounding, it was relatively easy to pull apart. I removed all Phillips screws in order to separate the casing to access end connection of the brush holders. Unscrewe d red wire and replaced with new. I removed the wire crimp tying together the black wires, replaced with new brush holder black wire. Put everything back together and tested. Success!
