This is an authentic replacement field assembly which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Makita angle grinders. In conjunction with an armature, it drives the unit. A field is usually damaged by overloading the power tool, or because of a bad armature, it is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing a field. Please note this high-quality item is sold individually.

1.- disassemble the entire handle cover, to disconnect the field assembly from the switch.
2.- disassemble the front head of the motor to remove it.
3.- remove the damaged field assembly.
4.- assemble everything starting backwards.
