This is an authentic manufacturer approved replacement part used on Makita cut-off saws. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor. This filter is made out of paper and plastic. It is sold individually. To replace this you would need a screwdriver. • Remove screws securing the cover • Remove cover and replace air filter • Secure the cover back
