?This cork rubber plate is an OEM replacement part. It is designed for the Makita 9924DB Belt Sander. This part provides a cushion to absorb some of the pressure being placed on the steel plate (sold separately as part 341705-6). It should be replaced if worn out or damaged. A screwdriver is needed to replace this part.

Unplug the belt sander.
Turn the belt sander upside down. Take off the abrasive belt. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two front screws and remove the metal backup and cork plate.
Install the cork and then metal plate aligning the holes and replace the screws.
Snuggly tighte ... Read more n the two screws.
Replace abrasive belt. Ready to sand.
Sander is old and replaced parts were well worn.
