This dust cover is an original part from the Makita manufacturer. The plastic dust cover is made for use with the HK1810 Scraper. This feature fastens the tool retainer to the barrel cover. The dust cover is sold individually, and a wrench is required for the installation.

I removed the existing cover plate, including the screws, washers, tool retainer and dust guard.
After cleaning the tool with an air compressor, i reinstalled the new cover plate, including the screws washers, tool retainer, and the dustgaurd.
After the installation, the tool worked like new.
