The original blade clamp was held in place with a roll pin. The new, upgraded version is held in place with a set screw. The new blade clamp is slightly different from the original and does not fit well on the old slider. I found that I could use my tabletop grinder to reshape the end of the original slider so that the new clamp fit we ll. Then, I drilled out the hole in the slider with a 5/32 drill and tapped it with the M5 tap. The repair was pretty straightforward and the parts were great.

If I were to do it again, I would order the new slider, part #8 along with the new blade clamp and set screw.

Removed the screws holding the shoe , then I removed the insulation cover. I then removed the screws holding the gear housing cover. I tried removing the screws holding the blade piston hut they were very tight and couldnGÇÖt get then out with my Phillips head so I gently and carefully used a vise grip . Removed all the grease and saved i t in a pile . Reinstalled everything greased the shaft and slide and tested it out . Worked great . And my old tool , 30 years old , is like new . Awesome ! Thanks to eReplacement I got the right parts . Thanks again
