To replace the slide plate. The 1/2\" nut in the center of the turntable must come off. To access it take off the adjustable kerf- four screws. The whole top of the saw will lift off. The ball bearing, that is the positive stop index for the turntable will be loose so catch it. It is located at 0 degrees. Simple replace sliding plate
... Read mores, there are three. Put ball bearing in the post that has a cup to hold it with the spring underneath. Add a touch of lithium grease to ball bearing to keep it in place. Put top of saw on base and tighten nut so that saw will travel easily but is still secure. Work miter rotation through its whole travel to be sure. Lastly install kerf plates. This goes without saying make sure saw is unplug from outlet before attempting to make repairs.
