Removed and replaced the trigger switch and also replaced the cord. Makita sells the trigger switch P/N651189-3 without the required terminal screws so save the originals if you can. If you can\'t your doomed as ReplacementParts can\'t identify them and neither can Makita Teck. After five stops including a tool repair, specialty nut an d bolt supplier, two hadrware stores Ifound a True Value Hardware with a sharp sales that found the right screws. A 3mm was too small and the 4mm seemed too big but a 4mm finally won out. Got the saw that had little use as a basket case so ReplacementParts had the parts to get it back in operation. My free Makita Model: 5477NB cost me $37.00 in parts and shipping, an hours repair time for a $204.00 saw. And so end this project.
