Parts Used:

1)Used chisel and hammer to Remove cutting disk
2)loosen set screws if need to remove dust collector
(Will need allen or torq bit sets for this)
2a) remove left and right side dc motor brushes with large flat head screwdriver paying attention to their orientation. Replace if necessary.
3)remove 4 socket head cap screws holding gear housing (one small flat head one medium flat head to gently pry and walk gear housing off from grinder. Careful not to damage the oring)
4)remove 4 phillips screws to pull motor/commutator/drum out from grinder housing
5)wrap motor in rag then gently secure with adjustable pliers, while using a 1/2GÇ¥ wrench to loosen nut holding angle gear in place so you can change the upper gear housing.
5)using snap ring pliers remove retaining ring holding bearing, washer, and grease seal in place (do this slow to see and remember orientation and direction of these three parts. (Crucial for grease seal to be installed in the proper direction) may need to use punch to gently tap out bearing once retaining ring is removed.
6) install the grease seal with brushed side facing out, install bearing, install washer, install retaining ring.
7)after cleaning, use new high temp wheel bearing grease, load the gear housing completely while being sure to pack grease in all cavities. When placing outer gear housing back in place, large gear should be submerged in this grease. Can also add a large coat of grease onto larger gear on outer gear head cover. Be sure to not let any contaminants fall into grease.
8)Instal motor assembly back into large tool housing 9)put ph screws back in cross tightening pattern.
10)install dc motor brushes and put the rest of unit together in reverse order
