This is an original part from Makita. The base is made for use with the Magnesium Circular Saw devices. This metal component is fastened to the bottom of the motor housing, helping the operator to make the desired alignment for cutting projects. The base is sold individually. A screwdriver, hex key, and pair of pliers are necessary for making the installation.
Removed the old plate, carefully noting where all parts came from and where to put back, then put all parts back together. Saw works as well as before the drop. The site was easy to use, and delivery was quick. Best advice is to pay attention to all parts, putting back together will be much easier.
