Product Description

?

This is a genuine Milwaukee part, it is sold individually. The chuck is located on the to of the drill where you can add drill bits. The models listed below will show the compatible hammer drills. If your drill's bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. Installation is easy with these following steps. You will need to thread the chuck assembly onto the spindle then secure the chuck assembly as tightly as possible (by hand). Then open the chuck to accept the retaining screw and install the retaining screw. Secure the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. The screw is reverse threaded requiring counter clockwise rotation to secure.

Open the chuck all the way. Remove the chuck screw in the bottom of the chuck, it is a left hand thread. Use the largest allen wrench that will fit into the chuck. Then tighten the chuck on the short end of the allen wrench. Put the drill in the low speed setting and on the drill mode. Lay the drill on a flat surface, and strike the long end of the allen wrench with a hammer. It may take a few times but the chuck will start to thread off of the spindle. Replace with the new chuck and chuck screw.

I removed the screw from inside of the chuck, used an impact gun and a bolt to turn against the drills left-handed threads to loosen the broken chuck. I screwed in the new chuck, tightened and reinstalled screw. Exactly the same part.
