This is an Authentic Manufacturer Sourced replacement part used on a Makita Sawzall Reciprocating Saws. This Assembly consists of: One (1) Metal Brush Holder With Spring and One (1) Carbon Brush with a Lead Wire Attached. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time. To replace this assembly you would need a Screwdriver • First remove Screws holding the cover together. • Carefully remove Two (2) Halves of the housing to gain access to Motor Housing. • Remove the old Brush Assembly and replace it with the New Brush Assembly • Reassemble and test your tool.

Although it wasn't the exact part for my Sunjoe dethatcher. The quality of the brushes are far superior to the originals. It is difficult to find parts for Sunjoe equipment. Maybe that is something you can look into to become a source for parts. SunJoe make good equipment and would be nice to have outside support for the brand especially out of it warranty.

Open up handle assembly which is a clam shell design with screws holding it together. Unplug spade terminals from brush assembly and remove worn brushes. Install new brushes and reconnect spade terminals and handle assembly.
