This part is available individually and is made of plastic and metal. The red brush assembly goes next to the brush tube. When replacing this part a screwdriver and a set of pliers might be required during the installation process. It will require replacing if it becomes broken. This is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specifically produced for use with Milwaukee circular saws.
It was pretty straightforward. I just got into the repair without stopping to think of the steps required. I just did the reversal steps to replaced the parts.
