Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.

Drill worked intermittently in \'2\' speed. Notice that \'1\' worked fine, and switching from \'1\' back to \'2\' would solve the problem for a minute or two. Noticed nasty gear sounds when failed.

Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
1- 2 hours
Tools:
Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
Parts Used:
14-30-1000
1. Unplugged the battery
2. Removed the chuck screw (inside the front of the chuck)
3. Removed the Allen screws in the drill side and around the chuck.
4. Removed the clip near the battery holding the two halves together.
5. Gently pried apart the case while pulling forward on the chuck.
6. Gingerly removed i nternal electronics (watch for selector switch, it tends to drop out and will only go back in one way.
7. Detailss go a little fuzzy at this point, but you end up having to take the drill motor off of the back, twist and then unscrewing the plastic face plate screwed to it, and swapping that to the new gearcase.
8. Pull the drill chuck off of the front of the old gearcase and lightly screw it to the new case. (Tighten it completely after assembly is done.)
9. Reassemble the rest of the parts and case.
1. Be careful holding the drive selector switch while putting the case back together (took me quite a few times to get it aligned and over the switch \'nub\'. Also keep an eye on the LED diffuser, it doesn\'t go in easy.
