?The blade guide assembly attaches to the torsion spring and the steel pin inside the housing assembly. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in Ryobi jigsaws. A screwdriver may be needed during the installation of this part. The blade guide is made of metal and is available as an individual replacement part.

2. Remove the plastic cover carefully
3. Remove the old blade guide
4. Place on the new Blade guide, use a long noise pliers to move the spring.
5. Apply oil, I used spray wd40 silicone protection to move parts.
6. Visual check all the moving parts, electrics parts, cable....

8. Place back on all the screws.
9. Check the jig saw, plug in to AC outlet and try !
10. Enjoy.

2. Pulled pin holding guide. Observe how spring is attached.
3. Replaced guide with spring and pin.
4. Put case back on.

split case
removed old guide and pin and spring
replaced with new guide inserting pin through spring held spring compressed with flat screwdriver
inserted into place in case released spring
put case together
put in screws and tightened
done
