This high quality replacement carbon brush is sourced from original equipment manufacturer for use with Ryobi hammer drills. The brushes transfer electricity to the motor's spinning armature. Because they're made of carbon, motor brushes will eventually wear down, and will need to be replaced. One carbon brush with an attached spring and the lead wire is included per order. It is recommended to replace both brushes at the same time.
