This is an authentic Campbell Hausfeld replacement part manufactured for use with air compressors. The check valve prevents pressurized air from backing up into the pump from the tank and allows air to flow into the tank from the pump. It is a one-way valve. A bad check valve may not allow air into the tank causing the motor to run but not move the pump. The motor will make a buzzing sound and may eventually burn out. This check valve is available as an individual replacement part.
